What data do we process?
We process the following personal data: your first and last name, email address, telephone number and the name and address of your editorial office and your areas of journalistic interest.
Why do we process your personal data?
We process your personal data to send you by email newsletters on Newmark ’s activities and to maintain contact and good relations on the basis of your consent, namely pursuant to Article 6.1(a) of the GDPR. After you withdraw your consent, we will process your data for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the controller only in back-up copies, namely pursuant to Article 6.1(f) of the GDPR. Our legitimate interest consists in ensuring stability and accountability of our IT system.
Your right to withdraw consent
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent and therefore you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. The withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of our processing on the basis of your consent prior to its withdrawal.
Your right to object
You can object to your personal data being processed whenever we rely on the controller’s legitimate interest in processing your data.
Your rights as a data subject
We guarantee that all your rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will be respected. Under the GDPR, you have the right to request from the controller access to your personal data, its rectification and erasure, and restriction of its processing, the right to data portability, and the right not to be the subject of automated decision-making, including profiling.
Your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint in connection with our processing of your personal data with the supervisory authority, namely the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
How long do we retain your personal data?
We will retain your personal data until you withdraw your consent or until we become aware that our contact is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we process your data; after that we will process your personal data in back-up copies of our IT system for another 30 days on the basis of the legitimate interest of the data controller.
When and to whom can we transfer your data?
As we need to protect ourselves against web bots, we use the Google reCAPTCHA mechanism. Therefore, data required by that mechanism may be transferred to Google LLC. Such data is provided in accordance with the rules set out in the European Commission adequacy decision on the EU-US Privacy Shield of 12 July 2016.
Your personal data may be disclosed to the controller’s employees and processors under concluded contracts ensuring an adequate level of personal data security.
Automated processing
Your personal data will not be subject to automated processing.

GDPR – The Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
